Awards in Construction
The NOCN qualifications Award in Constructions are particularly suited to Key Stage 4 students and school leavers.
Chameleon understands that some learners are ready to start their journey in Construction or Motor Vehicle earlier than school leaving age, therefore we offer an alternative provision to support school learning. Chameleon takes learners from Year 10 upwards, Chameleon works closely with the school to ensure they can meet the needs of the individual prior to sign up.
These qualifications are designed to enhance learners’ work and life skills in a range of vocational contexts. They are appropriate for a diverse range of learners including:
- 14 – 19 year old learners
- Those seeking to develop greater independence
- Those who have not yet achieved accredited qualifications
- Those with specific learning needs.
The intended destinations for learners successfully achieving these qualifications include:
- GCSEs and/or A Levels
- Diplomas
- Apprenticeships
- Supported employment
- Independent living
During the duration of the course learners will select a subject area and work towards achieving an award in this area.
Subjects choices are:
- Brickwork
- Plastering
- Tiling
- Motor Vehicle Maintenance
