In May, a team of 15 Burton Albion Community Trust volunteers (including Angie and Jason) are visiting a rural area of Ghana to spend 10 days volunteering with two NGO schools.

The trip supports the African Adventures’ annual Community Development Pledge, which supports and invests in the projects and areas volunteers visit. At the same time, funds African Adventures has raised over £250,000 for British football clubs’ charities will be raised to support the work of Burton Albion Community Trust, which serves the Burton and surrounding areas, meaning the event will make a lasting impact in the UK and Africa.

This is a great opportunity to make a difference to peoples lives in Ghana and Jason and Angie are thrilled to be a part of it!

There has been lots of fundraising happening to raise money for the trip, including bank holiday car booting!! £668 was raised so we would like to thank everyone that donated items for the car boot. You also may have seen lots of BACT volunteers when doing your shopping, helping you pack you bags! If you have donated again thank you.

Can’t wait to hear all about it! We wish them all the best for their travels!
